why do you suggest a 4.6L 96GT226410? I have another car to fall back on if I need to. (a 02 Grand Prix Gt) I just want to drive the mustang all summer and even on the nice days in the winter though

Most will say the 4.6 is more reliable than the 5.0, but if you aren't driving the car everyday, I would definitely go with the 5.0!

I have 180000 miles on 5.0 with no problems. How is that unreliable?

I absolutely love my 1995 GT convertible. It sounds like you don't plan on modding it. But if you're anything like me, plans will change fast, lol. It's surprisingly cheap to mod the old 5.0s. You can get some serious HHP and TQ out of them for very little cash (relatively speaking.)
