Why you should clean your MAF!
I have a cobra and I was getting some pretty ****ty gas mileage (Approximately 14MPG).So I decided I would clean out my MAF and IAC to see if maybe those were the cause of my pathetic gas mileage. All I can say is WOW....I pulled out my MAF and the two wires in it were BLACKER than woopy golbergs lips. So after cleaning it with a little CRC MAF cleaner and making it all shiny I stuck it back in to my engine. Than went on to the IAC valve which also had a bunch of black crap gunk in it. So I sprayed it with some carb cleaner and used q-tips to get rid of the gunk and I was done. Next I unhooked the battery for an hour to let the computer reset itself and then I went on to drive it for the next week. My gas mileage rose about 4 MPG and my acceleration is now smoother feeling and it is quicker. Best thing I have done to the car becides myborla exhaust IMHO. I recommend this to anybody and everybody who hasn't clean their MAFor IAC recently.
