Alarm cutoff switch Location for'99gt5 speed
Where is it located? (under the steering wheel?..)whats it look like!
Could that be a reason my remote won't work? Could it be a Fuse, The anti-theft light goes on when my car is off but the system is not working.. Thanks for any help you can offer........... |
RE: Alarm cutoff switch Location for'99gt5 speed
If this is a factory alarm you do not have a cutoff switch.Your remote may not be working because of a bad battery in remote, bad remote,or your car battery has died and anti-theft module power was drained You can try to reprogram remote by getting in car and putting key in ignition and go from off to run 5 or 8 times(not sure about the number).Stop on run when you hear the locks cycle up and down, push any button on remote and locks should cycle again, turn key off, they should cycle again telling you program was successful. You can check the alarm by rolling down window, lock doors by lock switch on door panel, close door and wait 30 seconds to one minute, alarm will arm, open door from inside and alarm should go off,if not you may have to take to dealer.hope this helps. later,Alan

yeah, im gonna agree with everything Mach has said. If youre lights still works, but you cant do it from youre remote, maybe a bad battery. Try the open window trick. If it goes off, then either the battery is bad, or the remove it no good.
