i have a 99gt, i work as a valet, and it seems that every mustang that comes in feels so much smoother then mine, is it just cuase they are newer?
can i make my car feel smoother, i feel every bump in the road, and it feels like i have a hoopty almost, my ride is so stiff, i dont konw if its just cause the only other car im in all the time is my girlfriends who drives a brand new clk, and the contrast makes it seem worse or waht. i want to lower it, but i dont want my ride any worse, what do i have to do to improve my ride, and how much will it cost me? any ideas

 

Is your suspension stock or modded. Well the stock ride is pretty soft compared if you modified the suspension which will probably
make the car more stiff. I have changed many things in my suspension and my ride is stiff, but I like that because the car handles
well.

depends on if you have cut your stock springs, that can casue it, are jack er up and check your shocks, and you might wont to check all your suspension for like bad bushings are joints stuff like that etc etc. But springs and control arms with some good shocks helps out a bit..

how old are your struts and shocks? i just replaced my front struts and it made my car so smoothe!! they were the originals from 92[:@]

 

Did you replace the tires? I put a set of Toyo Proxes on my GT and immediately noticed a rougher ride.

 

i have a 99 so thats how old everything is, i just replaced my rims ( 17-18's), and perhaps it got a little rougher, but it still sucked before. i havent modded the suspension at all. but i dont konw how to check ****, ive decided i reallly wanna lower it though, i saw a mustang drive by me the other day lowered, and made me jelous, i wanna drop my baby.

would lowering it defintliy make the ride even worse????

i live in LA, anybody know of a good cheap suspension place, or any place youd reccomend??? either in LA or san Diego is cool, cause im home in LA for christmas break but hten back in san diego for the school year.
