I'm not aware of any gas savers that you can add to your car that'll make a *noticable* difference.. Stuff like cold air intakes etc really don't make much difference in fuel economy.

Get him a coupon for a full tuneup at a local garage & that'll help about as much as anything.

A Steeda timing adjuster will give a couple ofmpg increase.I have one and I saw an honest two mpg after the installation.
I don't know for sure if it will fit unless you have the underdrive pulley set up.
The screen can be removed from in front of the MAF also. This leans out the mixture a little and was good for a one mpg increase on my 04 GT.

A high flow air filter such as a K&N or SB would make a nice gift for around $50,or a pre paid trip to a good detailing buisness would also make a good present.

Yea but if you adjust (advance?) the timing doesn't that mean you need to use premium gas constantly? Not sure if that's a good tradeoff lol

No,if you advance the timing upto +4 you can still run regular.

How about a full synthetic lube package for the tranny and rear end?

all these gas saving ideas are great, but most will be more expensive then i believe they are really worth.

like greystang said, get him a full detail from a good shop, thats a GREAT gift bc its something you really dont want to pay for but when its done he will re-fall in love with his car, BEAUTIFUL!

I've added about 3mpg with exhaust and intake upgrades. Was the $1K worth it? Not for the mileage, but the throttle works better...and it's a good platform for future upgrades.
