Street Smart Design Cold Air I

I've had the SSD CAI for a couple weeks now and I really love it. The airbox looks really tough and gives one hundred percent easier access to the filter than through-the-fender CAI's. The kit was so much easier to install than other CAI's I've fooled with. Not having to deal with getting inside the fenderwell to install the air filter is such a huge advantage. The smooth, straight, adapter tube between the K&N filter and the MAF, combined with the beautiful intake tube help give a really nice kick-in-the-pants throttle response. I really like the way the airbox mates up to the factory airhole inside the fenderwell. This sucks cooler air from the fenderwell instead of hot air from the engine compartment. My seat of the pants dyno says I gained at least ten horses. Overall great construction! Highly recommended!

I like the ram..you get the air speed when you need it..your not pulling air from the inner fender when it is swirling around...you get a straight shot so to speak...

Does ur CAI make noise? like running water? Mine does and I just figured that it was the airbein sucked in. I just wanted to know if I installed it wrong. Getting the filter in the fenderwell was a pain in the A**

Ok, my intake acts like a cold air intake..... It goes to a black box at the front of the car that has an opening that goes into the fender. My intake gathers air from the Fender...... Is this a CAI? Because it looks stock to me.... I Should take a pic and show you guys, but thats where I get my air is from the fender space. Could this be one of those Factory Installed options that is blurred out on that sticker under my hood?

If the filter on the intake is exposed then it is most likely an aftermarket one, because most stock airboxes are boxes with filters inside.

The Filter goes inside of the box and then you just clamp your tube down and its set to go. Gues its stock, but its nice for stock :)
