i finally got the car started and running only now its making a real loud noise that sounds like its coming from the front of the tranny. one of the weights on the flexplate was rubbing the engine plate, but i pried it away from it. i cant hear any valve train noises and the rockers were all checked last week and were tight. does anyone have any ideas?

I don't understand?
You bent something on the flywheel away from the engine and now there's a loud noise??????
How could that be?????
You can't bend things on a flywheel to make it fit.

Without hearing the noise it's impossible to diagnose.I would say to take the tranny down and look for shiny wear marks on just about everything between the bell housing and block,including the starter.
