Default Timing

Whats up guys... how do you check the timing, and or adjust it.......... my cars been backfiring every once in a while.

The computer controls the timing on a 2000 GT. If you're backfiring, it's more likely that something else is wrong and it isn't the timing (unless you have already altered the computer program).
