Default 351 c

ok i jus bought a 351 cleavland. what i want to know is how i can tell if it really is a 351 c or if its a 351 w. is there any way to tell without tearin it down? thanks

Water neck goes into the block on the C, into the intake on a W. They really dont look anything alike. 351w looks just like a 302. Also, valve cover on the C has 2 bolts on the top, W has one in the center.

Yeah, but is it a 351c, or a 351m or 400m? If you can, look for a casting number on the block.
