Need opinions...modification
Hey there everyone,
I am situated in Japan until early next year when I head back to Canada and I would like to prepare for a long awaited modification to my car. 10 years! It is a 1970 coupe running a non-stock 429 .030, mild cam and a holley DP. Currently about 10k miles on the engine. A very fun car, serious torque and power. But auto, stock gearing. If it were not a coupe I would not consider this...but it is! So here is the idea.
I would like to get opinions regarding the following.
Full tube frame fabrication with streetablity applications. The back seat is already small enough but I would like to keep it somewhat. Ideally a flip front end with functional vents replacing the false ones. I don't mind fiberglass but keeping it steel is nice, too. Heavy, but nice. The more air around the engine the better I say. Planning a Tremec 5 speed. Headers. Disc brakes. Adjustable suspension would be a plus. Running the exhaust out just in front of the rear wheel. Not from below the car but porting 2 holes in the front of the rear rocker between the door edge and the rear fenderwell lip. Elongated slightly. Now I have been overseas for a while as I said so I would like to know what front suspensions are going to provide me the best results for this car. As in what is available or recommended? I want handling to be important but I also want strength for the power I am running. Having the rear end with no exhaust in the way I am pretty much unlimited to the application.
...one step more would be fuel injection...
Ideas welcomed. Existing modified cars would be nice to see.

Nice car. Depends on how much you want to spend really. Here are some pics of my 68, but it's strictly a drag car.

You could mini tub it, move the wheel wells in to the frame and relocate the leaf springs. You could probably keep the back seat then. Alot of options for the front, mustang II conversion, martz setup or global west all have good stuff. Skip the round tube, have some box steel conect the subframes and have a
cage installed.
If you keep the front towers, http://www.mpgheads.com/and http://www.critesrestoration.com/both make headers for your car with the BB.
