IF YOU DO PROPER MAINTENECE AND FIX THINGS THAT BREAK, IT WONT OVERHEAT! ! ! ! !

Mustangs are not known to oberheat anymore than any other properly taken care of car!

I'm talking like the fans going out. I've had alot of fans just lock up on my cars. I've also had hoses just up and bust.

Actually, Ford in the past has been notorious for putting barely adequete radiators in their passenger cars. Though that's not really been a problem recently. But yes, proper maintence is essential

lol ive built 3 mustangs and never once had one over heat. like everyone else one this post. proper maintence will prevent that from happening. but let me ask you a question.... have you ever put a thermostat in backwards?

I've only had problems with performance engines using a stock radiator. Even then, the problems were easily resolved. Definitely haven't had any hoses burst, even after being neglected for 100k miles...way beyond their intended service life.

I'd think Ford would use the same quality fan motors & coolant hoses in their Stangs as they would any other vehicle in their fleet,, Yea the rads might be "just big enough" to do the job & no more but,, no overheating problems for me yet, and I've had 4 Stangs so far

the 94-95 v6 has known head gasket problems, this is why the car overheats. i think even up to 96 the head gaskets had problems, the problem is fixed. so the reason the car overheats is the antifreeze goes into the motor and then you have no coolant it doesn't really have anything to do with the cooling systerm so much as it does the bad head gasket.
