Default Pet Peeve of Car cleaning

I would like to see what pet peeves people have about cleaning their car. </P>

I love the hood scope unitl it comes time to dry the car. That thing hold more water then my chamie can hold before I need to ring it out!!I have tried everything from opening and closing the hood to parking the car with the nose facing down hill to no avail!<IMG src=smileys/smiley7.gif border="0"></P>

So what are your peeves?</P>

The hood scoop is a pain. The side scoops to a lesser extent. There always seems to be just a little bit of water in the seam at the base of the C pillar that does not run down until you are already moving too. <edited><editID>frostymug</editID><editDate>37868.898125</editDate></edited>

I have no problem with the hood scoop. I don't spray the hose in it. I spray down the hood rather than up.

Water will still sit in the cracks between the scoop and the hood along the sides and back. At least for me. Far from me to say it does not work for you.

I don't mind the wash and dry its the waxing and fine detailing the kills me. I have to get everything spotless and it seems to take forever.

anybody got an older stang with the louvered tailights? </P>

WOW <IMG src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0">now that's an irritating place for water to hide AND to wax....the previous owner neglected mine evidently too, so they're faded...not that I actually spend extra time applying stuff to them to help protect them..nooo...not me..not for a measly lil crack in my tailights....<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

Depends. I usually uses mother's reflection soap, the gold wash is crap. Goes on nice and rinses off nice. Not very suddey but cleans very well. When the weather gets colder. I use armor all car wash in the big gallon jug. You have to use a lot but it suds up with cold water and rinses pretty clean. All of those wax as you wash stuff is sh*t. Can leave a haze and water spots are b*tch to remove. I use to detail cars as a way to make money on the side and have used a lot of different stuff and I have found the stuff I use nowto be some of the best for the money.</P>
