Hey Guys, I am getting My sisters mustang when she moves out (remember? the gold one?)
and i wanted to know things about the sixers...

1.Why do people call it a Edge? And Why do they call the 05+ SN95's?
2.What color should I change it to? And how much woould paint jobs run me?
3.When I race, do I use Should O/D be on or off?
4.What should be my first mods to improve sound and speed? What are the costs for those Mods?
5. When I race, should i rev launch? Like hold brake and gas, or E Brake and gas?


if you could reply to those questions with the numbers it would be helpful!

overdrive should be off. it basically limits your acceleration. As for launching, i hardly ever do it, but I have a stick. Color is your own opinion. To change paint prolly looking around 3, 3.5. Depends on the shop. Get a quality shop though, an pay for quality. To increase speed, revamp your exhaust first, headers, mid pipe, so on. soo much u can do with sound and speed.

I should add on the paint, that is stripping old and putting new on. Not just blasting a coat over ur old one. dont ever take it to maacoo, BS work, my paint faded after 2 months on my bimmer.

1) The 99 -04 Body style is called the New Edge, 94-98 SN95, 05+ S197
2) If you paint it, the door jambs, underhood, etc.are still going to be gold, just sell it and buy a color you like.
3) It doesn't not matter. Leave it alone.
4) Mods Jet Chip, K&N w/o silencer, Exhaust work, or sell it and buy a lightly modded SN-95 GT, the right color.
5) The gas/brake shold work, hold it a 2000 rpms, and let the break off and floor it, experiment and see which RPM yireild the best launch.
