I have to take the Maryland Emissons test tomrrwo in my 96 GT. And when u push teh key forward but not turning the car on the check engine light comes on n stays on. but it goes away when u start the car i thought this is normal like this for most cars. but the guy at emisons i called so if your check engine light comes on you fail. and said Flowmasters are illagal.

Your check engine light is working correctly. I have never heard of Flowmaster mufflers causing a vehicle to fail. If you installed the mufflers, but kept the cats, you should be fine.
