but why the hell must 67 put down new cars? more stuff is more stuff to get messed up sure, but really, a truly disposable car is something like a saturn. tiny little engines and crap...its less work to just sell em and get a new one if something pretty big goes wrong.

I was giving Dan a hard time the new mustangs are nice. They are made of way too much plastic. I see too many problems with them dashes warping cowls warping door panels spliting the pull cup on the doors wont stay in place on the late 90s body style. Don,t get me wrong they are fast and handle fairly well, But they are not built to last 20 years inless you keep it garaged and don,t drive it daily. I did not reply to this post to make anyone mad or dierespect your cars. I work for ford and have done so for the past 12 years. I work on these day in and day out so I get to see all the coman problems that people are having with them. Ask any ford tech and they will say the same thing these cars are not built to last a life time. Ford as well as any other auto builder want's you to buy a new car every three years.

I can upon request supply any of you factory shop manuals on dvd that can be used on your computer at home if interested PM me with model and year of ford.

Again I am only printing what I see on a day to day work week. But hey I drive and own three fords A 2002 cobra, 97 ranger 4X4 4.0 and my 67 fastback and I know my fastback will out last the other two and thats just the facts of life.

But that goes for any new car...even pricey exotic cars fall apart fast.

hey lets face it, the days of old are gone and products today are not of the same durability. the vehicles today do offer more performance and safety though and that also needs to be considered. when you think about what it would take to get a 60's era car to move and handle like todays lightweight composite cars, your talking serious money.. 67 you have a nice stable bro a classic and a modern day stallion.. i do envy you .

well..day of the steel dash is gone...would you rather have god forbid a lil one hitting the heads on a steel dash or an cheap ole plastic dash...that 67 was built when gas was 35 cents a gallon..today cars have to be light and resist rust get better mileage and be safer because of more dumbass drivers...and lastely the big 3 need those profits as more & more cars share the same parts..don't get me wrong I love my old cars..but you have to admit the 'stang rarely go under 150k before and engine rebuld and look at hp....almost ever car is atleast 1.25+ hp to cubic inch, very few cars in any era did that..
