only problem with ruunning skinnies on the street is....... 80% of your stopping power comes from your front breaks and tires, so the less rubber you have in contact with the ground the longer it is going to take you to stop!!! I had a friend total his mustang that had skinnies on it, and the investigation showed that the skinny tiries on the front of the car caused is not to stop in time, btw his roll bar saved his life in this accident. Just something to think about before putting money into skinny tires and rims, espically if you are driveing it every day

It all depends on how you drive. Handeling will be out the window and under HARD braking, they will not work as well. But hey, when you roll around on skinnies, you better have the power to back up the looks, most of the time you can cruise and just BE BAD...

well, pretty pissed, was out all day are different speed shops pricing wheels, they dont make pro-stars in a 4 bolt?!?!?! wtf..? so im going forced to go with draglites?! also one speed shop said dont run 3.5 wide because our roads suck, he said he has seen a lot of them crack to go 15x5??? should i..? i dont know what to do. but anyways i found a place that will supply gears for 265$, and installation for 96$!!!! 96 canadian for installation.. how can they do it for so cheap?! he said it runs them about 2 hours.

oh come on vw's have skinnier tires than that,and so do most compacts....
as long as you use common sense,and you'll be ok. i have never had problems with mine on.
i'm sure my roads are worse than your's.
