missing electronics for a 2001 mustang

Help I have a customer that bought a 2001 mustang where the old owner put a 351 non electronic motor in. The old owner also took out the entire computer system and I need to figure out a way just to put part of the system in to try and get a waiver for CT emissions. Dose anybody have any ideas how i can get this done. Thanks for the help Kathy

You need to spend $660 in emission repairs to qualify for a waiver, You can also claim financial hardship but that will only get you a waiver good for this year and you will not be able to get another hardship waiver if it fails again next year.

Im not sure of the details for CT but here its basically the same amount and the repairs have to be made to the emission system. If you spend that much money and it still fails you show your reciepts and you get a waiver good only for one year. I guess you can go out and get a ecu and a harness from a junkyard but what are you going to connect it to ? I guess if you buy it and it costs the right amount and you install it as best as you can it would qualify as an emission repair. But thats one hell of a price to pay only to find out you still dont qualify

Thank you guys, but their is nothing I can do for the car. Unless the customer wants to take out the motor and put a motor that can be put back to specs for 2001. Or modify it to the point that the body no longer looks like a mustang. If he dose that then I can go for a composite inspection and registration. A composite registration is exempt from emissions.
