Hi everyone,
I am a new mustang owner and really know nothing about the tune-ups etc.
Bought a 2003 GT coupe 2 days ago and took it to a Ford dealership to get it checked out. The car has been driven 29,000 miles
Well, to my surprise the mechanic comes back with a list of performance enhancing additions he found in the car.
Remember, till this point I had thought it to be a stock GT and it seems that the Nissan dealership where I bought it from did too.
The following additions were found in the car (let me remind you people that I know nothing about souping up cars let alone how these parts enhance the cars performance):

air intake tube (K&N FIPK GEN2 or something?)
upper intake manifold (I am pretty sure this one had BBK Power-Plus Trick Flow engraved on it)
underdrive crankshaft pulley
O2 simulators (oxygen sensor harness)
exhaust cross-over pipe
aftermarket fuel injectors?
supposedly the car also has a performance enhancing chip????

Can anyone help me out here and inform me how these parts affect my day to day driving and how much they are approx. worth? Any information is much appreciated.

The crank pulley should be part of a set.Crank,waterpump,and alternator. Good for about 4-5 hp at wide open throttle.
An aftermarket throttle body and plenum is good for about the same amount.
The "chip" is a mystery buta generic chip could be worth a few HP but they are best in an automatic transmission car because of the shift point changes.
The K&N intake could be worth a couple of horses.
All of these are just estimates and you'll probably get less.

Those mods won't affect your DD. Those are just some nice bolt-on mods that add some/little hp gain. Just think of it as a bonus or a little surprise on your GT.

Edit: Their not worth alot(all the mods added up could actually be around 1-2k. Not positive though?
Also DD means Daily Driver

k+n intake probably 200
intake manifold not sure, just google it
pulleys are sold in 3 (water, alt, and crank as stated above) donno why there would be 1 pulley, but 150-200 depending on the brand
02 sims are like 60 per pair i think
02 sims means ur midpipe is an off road pipe so between 150-220~ depending on brand for that
fuel injectors 200~
chip is unknown, they vary way too much in price so without knowing a brand


btw since ur pipe im guessing is off road (cuz of the mil elims) you will need to either buy someones stock hpipe for cheap so u can emission on that then bolt the off road on, or have cats welded into that one (i suggest option 1)

So what is the difference between a off-road pipe and a stock h-pipe? If someone could explain that to me.

off road means no catalytic converters (not emissions legal)

stock hpipe on a 99-04 has 2 cats and 2 precats, restrictive in other words. off road is just a strait pipe with no cats, it wont pass emissions but it is better flowing and is louder. so if your state has required emissions testing you will have to do something about that before getting it inspected.
