anyone drove a Shelby GT-H??
I test drove a Shelby GT(not a 500GT) yesterday and frankly I wasnt impressed. Its a 10,000 Shelby package with a 10,000 markup and I just dont see paying 50,000 for a Shelby "Looking" GT. Im able to get the X-plan and they would knock off the 10k markup right off the bat, then another 8-9% off of the 40k pricetag but thats still pricey for another 20hp and some racing stripes. Definitely a head turner and im not knocking it in anyway since its a beautiful car, just not sure of the excessive pricetag. ANyone else get to drive one or even own one? Never seen one on the road or at a dealer until yesterday. They had 3, lol.
Afterwards I drove a Dealership modified GT with Ford Racing Exhaust and it for some reason felt quicker then this Shelby? Curious as to some opinions. I think Id rather just get a GT and throw 10-12k into motorwork, lol.

You gotta remember there's also a lot of suspension mods, not just the intake and exhaust. Plus the interior is all different, along with the bumpers, wheels, blah blah blah. I agree it's not worth all the markup (and I am staring at one in my dealership as we speak) but in all actuality, most of them will be garage queens and in 30 years will be twice the price they were bought for.
I'd rather take $50K and buy one of the Roush Stage 3's we have on our lot

They're the GT price plus the shelby package which is around 10g. They're so common if the dealership puts an additional markup on it then they're retarded. It's the same body as the California Special Mustang GT. The only difference i noticed on the interior was the hurst shifter and the dash plaque. No question you're paying a lot for the name, but it's more of an icon than a car you'd buy to build. They actually drive way nicer than the stock GTs, I personally think it looks a lot nicer than the GT500, but some parts of the car is just plain cheap.
