I got a noise coming from either the engineor trannyI think, my friend said it might be the powering steering pump, I think it might be the transmission becausewhen the noise happens,I can feela slight vibration in the clutch pedal. I also noticed that when I am at a stop, the noise goes away until I turn the steering wheel left and right. It will get louder when I turn the wheel, but when I put it forward again, it goes away.

It's kind of a windy noise, kind of makes my car sound supercharged, but its the 01.

Anybody got any ideas as to what this is???

you checked your power steering fluid right?

ya that sounds like your low on PS fluid, if its low the pump will whine as it runs dry on oil, do you notice resistance changes as your turning the wheel?
