brakes slowly went bad and now they quit

my pedal kept getting softer and softer over the last week and now i have no brakes at all they just quit and my fluid is still full

Sounds like the master cylinder to me.

It sounds like you have air in your brake system. You will have to bleed the brakes to get it out.

Did you leave the cap to the fluid resevoir off for a long period of time. If you did then the brake fluid absorbed to much moisture and has gone bad and theres no way to get the air out of the lines. You will have to change the fluid.
