JB weld to plug drill holes?

JB weld to plug drill holes?
I am trying to plug some holes on a piece of sheet metal. A heatshield for CAI to be exact. There are some old holes where bolts were and I want to plug them, sand them flush and paint it if I can. Does anyone know if JB weld will hold that closed and make it look good or should I try something else? Let me know, thank you!

not if you want to finish both sides.
if you mushroom it out on the back side it might hold for a little while....
putty stuff = Bondo
Bondo might work, i guess both depend on the size of the holes

Bondo I dont think would work that well. The holes are probably like 1/8th of an inch in diameter or so and they are all the way through the sheet metal. I need something sort of permanent, it is going to be painted though.... It also wont be handled.

If they are only 1/8 inch, put a small piece of self adhesive vinyl on it (like the stuff you get on shelves) with all the colors you get now days you can even make it look lik some sort of custom job.

I have used jb weld on a hole(big hole) in my valve cover , filled the hole sanded and painted it. It looked very good cant tell its even thereand is still holding even with all that heat. . But of course didnt worry about what the inside looked like.
