Default Gauge Faces

I had a question about putting those aftermarket gauge face backgrounds in my 2002 mustang V6. Do you have to pull the spedometer and all the other needles off? How easy is it to do this I dont' want to mess it up but they look really cool. Any input would be great. Thanks.

Default RE: Gauge Faces

I have never done this, but just by using my commen sense - I would think you could, but would have to cut a slit in the background face. Being careful not to touch the needle, cut a slit in the background and try to meet the slit and needle togethor squeezing the slit around the needle. Other than that, maybe try buying a new gauge with different pre-installed backgrounds.
