Fox displacement unknown?

i am trying to plan out my mustang project.
I have an 88 gt hatch. (5.0)
im gonna black out the interior and do a Red paint job with black 2 tone.
As far as the power plant i have some Questions.
I def. want to replace the engine. (a oil burning high mileage 5.0)
I want to make Big hp (500-600) and even bigger tq.
What size block should i use?
I want something that will be reliable and able to handle that power safely.
A turbo would be used in the application with water methanol injection and a small nitrous shot.
I want something that i can do myself with no crazy tools.
I was looking at the 427. Would this be too much displacement?
The 351w is a easy conversion but i dont think it could handle that power and have much left.

What are some #s for these blocks with the turbo and injection listed above.

RE: Fox displacement unknown?

Go with a 385 series big block. A lot stronger, and will easily make that much power on a turbo. Heck, it'd have no problem with that number without a turbo.

The 385-series big block includes the 429 and 460.
