Time for a Oil change, question...

Time for a Oil change, question...
I am going to change the oil in my Cobra for the first time since I got it. I was looking at auto zone and they have a brand of oil call lucus. Can I just put 5 quarts of this in my motor and not any other oil or do I need to mix it? Also, do I just poor the oil down the dip stick tube or does it go somewhere else? Thanks.

I recomend Mobil1 full synthetic oil. The oil goes in some where else.

Ok kool. I'll look into that Mobil 1. The guys at auto zone were really pushing the Lucas stuff. Whee abouts should I put in the oil? I don't see anywhere else it could go.

You might just want to take it into a shop and let them do it if thats the case..

I would but I have a thing about other people messing with my car. Never know if they are doing stuff right.

I'll be the **** hole here, but you claim you can drive your car into the 11's and you don't know where the oil goes??? Also, you can't just add it, you have to drain the old crap out, change filter, then add oil.

I think with your serious lack of knowledge ..it'll be worse for you to work on the car then anyone else!!!!![sm=chairshot.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]

If you have a mustang... on the left.ontop of the engine it should have a cap that says oil on it. Or just take it to a Shop.

I know I need to drain it, that's obvious. Though I would like to know where a filter for the oil is? I took the car to the track last saturday. It ran 11.83 @ 68mph.
