Transporting classic across country
Hi I am new to the group here and I am getting a 67 from my grandfather who loves in Ohio and I am trying to figure out who I should use to ship the car to me in Las Vegas. I am going to ship it in an enclosed trailer but I was wondering if anyone out there can recommend a carrier to me and if there is anything I should be aware of when doing this. The car is in MINT condition with only 30K miles on it so I really want to do this right. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

These are just a few I found. Hope they help. Just do a search for classic car transport. Just make sure they are insured and all that. I bet this isn't cheap either...let us know. Sounds like you are getting a cherry; take care of her.

and make sure you check them out with the BBB before you decide to give any of them a call. I would get several quotes too from different companies to see what the range of prices are also. and don't hesitate to ask for references too!

I have been getting quite alot of quotes bboth open and enclosed trailers. $780 is the cheapest for open and $1250 for enclosed. It is dependable but in paying for my airfare plus gas and time off work it would cost more than both combined. I am hesitant on going open for th e fact of being exposed to the elements from Ohio to Nevada......... It is in VERY good condition with only 30K miles on her. Has anyone else out there transported theirs out there? Any past experience would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!!
