I don't get why they call them cold air intakes when most of then actually take air from under the hood. At least the stocker sucks air from outside the engine compartment. The other thing I personally don't like are the foam filters. They don't filter as good as paper...you can find tests posted on the net regarding this issue. I would get just a tube to get rid of any air intake mufflers that hampers the flow and leave the rest alone. Check out Airaid...they make just the tube for a lot of vehicles...not sure about stangs though.
