Default Transmission swap??

It seems my dad decided that I will be not be selling my 98 Mustang and getting a 5.0 because of college. Since I am going to have my stang for another 5 years until after college, is it possible to get a transmission change from automatic to 5-speed manual??? If so how much and whats the best option???

Default Transmission swap??

You can get it installed at any local transmission shop locally. Go to www.google.com and look up Ford AOD Shift Kits.

will the t-5 out of an older 5.0 fit on a 4.6? If so Id say you could find a used on for a reasonable price. But youd have to get a pedal kit and all the fabrication done to make it match up. Its expensive to have all that done. I have a friend with a 90 gt that converted from aod to a 5spd from a 93, and it was more of a headache than a gain. get a shift improver kit and a chip. these will firm up your shifts and help you out.</P>
