Default door hinges and pins

does anybody know or can tell me how to replace the pins and bushings on my 1993 lx? I believe its probably something I can tackle myself. Also how about the handles do they bolt in from the inside? or are they riveted? any info is appreciated

Default RE: door hinges and pins

I have heard that you don't want to
change the pins. People who do wind up
with a door that is too low and has to be
lifted each time the door is closed so that
it latches again.
I would look into shimming the hinge before
such a drastic step.

The door handle is riveted (2) and has to be
drilled out. Then it removes from the outside.
Make sure you replace it with a METAL latch.
You can use carridge bolts with nuts on the
inside. You may have to file the bolt to
make it fit nice.
You can use a GIANT pop rivet if you can
find such a beast.
