Default fender bender : need repair advice

I have a 2000 v6 with a cobra r body kit. I got into a fender bender new years eve and I need advice on reparing my stang. Basically the front bumper was ripped off. The body kit is still ok just needs some touch up paint. I need to replace the black piece of styro foam behind the front bumper. My real problem is the two points above the grille where the bumper connects. The piece that it connects too has snapped off and I have no idea what it is called. This bracket also runs behind the head light assemblies and I do not know what needs to be done to remove it. Please help.

The piece that broke is just inside of the headlights where the bolt would have gone. The inside of what broke appears to be made of fiber glass.

is that possibly the header panel? if so you can snap it up on Ebay. There are normally a bunch of them there.

Naw, not that bad.
Mine was broken where the pony installed in the grill and it bugged me so I bought a new one.
The aftermarket one I got off ebay was much lighter than the stocker and fit excellent so that was good.

It was over a year that I swapped mine but i believe these are the only steps below from what I remember.

- Remove bumper
- Remove headlights
- unbolt stock header panel (keep bolts)
- Bolt up new header panel
- Install bumper first
- Install headlights

Good Luck
- install grill pony

That is the header panel. Installation/replacement is easy. The hard part is making sure your headlights are properly aligned afterwards.

headlights on those are very simple, you dont have to adjust anything. there are two metal peice in back of the lights, you just pull up on them andthey come out. then just slide the lights out. very simple
