i am doing the upgrade mod to the 3g on my 93 fox and i am stuck on what alternator to get the duralast gold 130 amp at autozone part # DLG7734-6-11 or the pa performance 130 amp i would like to know the idle output on the duralast to compare with the pa performance one because it has like 80 amps at idle and i cant find any information on the duralst anywhere thought maybe a vet could help me out on this i am leaning toward the duralst because i just have to drive down the street to return it if something happens to it i heard it is a pain returning the pa one and sometimes they will not cover you on their lifetime warranty any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Can you get a Ford rebuilt unit?

If so,get one instead of a discount auto parts store alternator.The rebuilds from Autozone,Advance,etc have been troublesome to say the least.I went through three rebuilds in one day on my Linc. MK VIII. They were all refunded but I thought the car had a major fault and took it to the Ford dealer to diagnose the problem.After $400 for parts and labor it was fixed but all it needed was a quality rebuilt alternator to begin with.
