Default Someone Keyed my GT, Need Advice *PICS ADDED*

When I went out to my car this morning ('06 GT), I walked around to the passenger side to see 4 deep gouges down the passenger door and rear quarter.[:@] This was obviously no mistake, these gouges were definately intentional.

I guess I just need to vent, but also ask for some advice on how to procede.

The gouges are way too deep and long to try to tackle myself, how many shops should I have look at it, how can I tell if they will do good work?

How do I keep something like this from happening again?? I can't afford to keep paying deductables if this happens again.

I think it happened while I was at the gym the other day.

I'll get some pictures up tonight.

Please post some pictures...

Key marks cannot be touched up at home, often times body shops repaint the entire part.

Contact insurance and claim vandalism, otherwise those scratches will be at home.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. You can take it as a compliment for having such a nice car! I hope you find out who did it. [:@]

Take it to the Dealer and get an estimate, then go somewhere else and tell them to beat the price.

If the gym has a camera, get the footage. Youll be SHOCKED who vandalizes cars.

At my old place, a sweet old lady didnt like me leaving to work with my exhaust at my old place and keyed the car front to back, but said hi to me and nice car, whenever I seen her and her husband.

Somehow , some crazy fuc hit her car with an old pickup truck next month while parked and totalled it

Just double park next time, thats what I do. Unless its a heavily police guarded area. You should get at least 3 estimates and choose the one that you think is the best, look at the cars they have in the shop at the moment etc.

I just dont understand people's reasoning when they key a car.... sorry to hear. Check for the camera footage though, it's worth a shot anyway.

Thanks for the advice guys!
Heres a few pics.

I just measured the gashes. They are all pretty deep, through the paint. Their lengths are 17" 4" 16" 16" for a grand total of 53" of frustration.
