Should I plug holes in radiator where my old cooler lines were?
 

Im swapping auto to manual, should I plug the holes in the radiator where the cooler lines used to go or just let the remaining fluid run out and let it dry?

Flush the lines with solvent and allow to dry by leaving the holes open until everything has a chance to dry.Now plug the holes with nice shiny brass plugs if for no other reason than cleaning up the installation.
If you don't care what it looks like then don't bother with any of this.

So i dont have to fill it with fluid or anything? I thought it may hurt the radiator if it dried out but thats cool, ill just pump it clan then leave it, I cant find any plugs with the right thread. I work at lowes and we dont have anything that fits

The plugs wouldn't be a pipe (tapered) thread.I can't for the life of me think of the name of the right thread pattern but they use staight AN type fittings.An auto parts store should have the right parts.

You can plug the holes it it makes you feel better OR if you just want to clean up the rads appearance. Mechanically there is no need to do this.

Ifyou see the slightest chance this rad will need to be used one day in the future for an automatic transmission then plug it.

If not, leave it empty and open. Mustangs are for racing and racing cars don't need the extra weight.
