acutually a lighter oil will work better as long as you've got enough pressure. it cools better and causes less wear than a heavy oil.
might as well go with 0W30 or 5W20... that way with a cold start it won't be as hard on the engine
and yes.. there is a large difference between fully synthetic and synthetic blends. the polymers in synthetic blends wear out after a while and tend to thicken.
but as far as brands go i use mobil1, but redline and royal purple are good too.
