I HAVE A 93 5.0L & AOD TRANS OUT OF A STANG HOW HARD WOULD THE SWAP BE TO PUT THAT SET UP INTO A 94 COUGAR. WILL THE 3.8L TRANS BOLT UP TO THE 5.0L WHAT ABOUT EMISSIONS DO I HAVE TO TO GO WITH FUEL INJECTION COMPUTER ECT. OR CAN I GO WITH A CARB SET UP TO PASS NYS EMISSIONS.. THANKS

it aint toooo bad. kinda a bich with the wiring. at the shop i work at we converted a 94 3.8L mustang to a 5.0L HO. we used the motor, trans, computers, and wiring harnessesfrom a 91 thunderbird she got from a friend of hers, and bought new motor mounts.the wiring is really the onlychallenge but if you got brains you'll be able to do it haha. we slapped on some MAC shorties to a 2.5" true dual no cats exhaust with cherry bomb mufflerswith 2.25" tailpipes. sounds maddd nice. the 3.8L trans wont bolt up, you'll need a bellhousing that fits it but it wont handle the power, we kept it fuel injection, it just wont pass cause no cats. if you keep the cats it should pass. if you go custom exhaust like we did make sure you get downpipes with the o2 sensor holes
