You might as well have solar panels on top of your car. Personally I don't think that electric cars will be popular until someone has perfected a way to recharge them within 10 minutes all across the country. I know I would much rather go to a gas station and fill my car with fossil fuels even if they are $4.00 a gallon. Diesel just broke 4.35 in CT where I am. Also, nobody thinks about the storage cells and batteries and raw materials and **** that are going to have to be involved with manufacturing an electric car. They won't be cost effective until 80% of the oil on this planet is gone. I have always said someone could make millions designing an airplane that switches off to electric power at a cruising altitude. Plus, they are always in the sky, why not throw some solar panels on them. Nobody thinks about how many gallons of airplane fuel get burnt over the course of a day. BTW +1 on the Molly Saleen thing too. She's hot.

The airplane idea is a great one, you should start drawing some idea's up about that.
As for how fast the car charges, unless you just dont stop for 400 miles (6.6 hours at 60mph) it wont affect that person much. After almost 7 hours of drivingI am ready to eat or do something for a couple hours giving the car a chance to re-charge.
As for batteries, it doesnt seem to affect the cost of EV vehicles compaired to their gas counterpart.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ford & all other manufacturers started making performance electric cars, as there is some real potential with the technology especially with recent breakthroughs in batteries and who knows, if they canget get room temperature super conductivity figured out they'll be able to make MASSIVELY powerful electric motors. The claim is a super conducting electric motor powerful enough to propel a car would likely be no larger than your fist . So yeah I might someday buy a performance electric car.
But Ford please,, DON'T call it a Mustang [&:]
Let the Mustang name die in honor once the day of fossil fuel runs out
