V6 - 2000 Need some Pro Advice on this one.
2000 MUSTANG V6
Temp always cool and i mean always
Oil Pres. always 3/4 ( good )
ok, the car gets me just fine from miami to davie ( about 40 some miles away ) to muvico so my girl and i can enjoy a movie in a GOOD theatre
when im good to go i walk out to the car and turn it on. i get horrible shakes and even worse as i start to accel.
so i think it might be a loose spark plug cable which has happened to me on one of my other mustangs.
it felt just like that time that i did have a loose cable where one of hte pistons were not firing.
its not i checked the cables and the ignition coil connections all fine car continues i take it to the mechanic.
the car wont go over 50 ( not trying to anyway i know i got a serious problem ) and im checking the car gauges aswell to make sure the temp dont even run up halfway and the oil presure stays up. as i am struggling thru the highway ( only way out to mechanic ) the car frequently for about 5-8 seconds i lose response of the accelerator and then it kicks back im keeping rmps low and trying to maintain atleast 40 mph on the emergency lane
anyways
we end up changing the spark plugs cables ignition coil problem continues i help the mechanic myself to do it i love getting dirty with him hes like an uncle.
we think oh crap it might be a valve big *** engine job but we test the compression / presure and its just fine like new. we put up the computer to the car and get:
ERROR 1003 : MISFIRE CYLINDER 3
we end up tearing the top of and changing the fuel injector for that cylinder and the car started with the shakes for a few seconds and it went away.
not supposed to do that but ok i had to go and needed the car so i drove 4 days with the car
just fine ended up in another 25+ mile drive got there just fine. getting ready to leave car starts up like that again and same old story
continues to read ERROR 1003 : Missfire cylinder 3
does anyone have any experience with this?
your help would be absolutely cherrished!!!
