Bought an SCT XCalII, but it's "locked"...

Thought I could save some cash and bought an SCT Xcal2 (my old one got stolen) froma guy that was unloading some of his old stock stuff and whatnot. Now that I have it I realize that it's "locked". Does anyone how I unlock it so it's ableto be used?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, JR

You can send it off to SCT and have it unlocked for around $100.

either send it to SCT or get the person you bought it from to un marry it from his car.

You can try hooking it up onto your computer and un-locking it through that program. Or call SCT, they have good customer service.

Umm good luck trying to unlock it  that's exactly what SCTistrying to avoid.. having ONE programmer make changes to more than one car.

If someone ever figures out how to circumvent that anti-piracy feature the hacker floodgates would pour wide open & all of a sudden "dozens of guys" would pool their money together buy one programmer & do all their cars with it

Well to be clear, I don't want to use his tunes, I just want clear the thing, so I can load new tunes on to it (from a local tuner). Can I just do that without being labeled a pirate?

If you have a local tuner near by who writes the tunes for the XCal's chances are he will have the software to unlock it.

WTF?! The X3 just came out didn't it? Gotta love the back support when they don't even support the last model when the new one comes out. Anyone want a great deal on 2 SCT X2's? One Locked, One Unlocked. Screw this, I'm buying a Diablosport.
