Have an 08 V6, want to change engine.
This is probably a crazy idea, but I have an '08 v6, and I want to put a new engine in it. I'd LIKE to turn it into a roush (engine wise), but I dont know how possible that is. Any info on engine changes is helpful though, I'm just kind of curius. Oh, and if there is already a post about this, please let me know, Thank you very much!!! (p.s. everything is still stock, don't know if that matters though.) Thank you for any help!!!!

RE: Have an 08 V6, want to change engine.
You want to swap an engine on a brand new car? You should have bought your car with a V8 to begin with. This question has been asked many MANY times, the general consensus on V6 owners wanting do to a V8 swap is to just trade your car in.
But if you really did want to go through with it you're looking at replacing the engine(obviously), transmission, driveshaft, rearend, suspension(shocks, springs, struts, swaybars, etc), wiring harness.
More work than it's worth.

i dont know if this holds true for the s197 (i'm sure it does) but on the newedges the only way to make a 4.6 swap cost worthy is to find a wrecked donor car. still its going to be expensive either way.

Sell your 08 V6 and go buy a Roush. It's that simple.
If you think the Roush price tag is too high, you haven't seen the cost to swap motors and then add a bunch of Roush stuff to make it a clone.
You didn't mention which Roush motor you wanted to swap in, I just assumed you mean the 3V 4,6L with the Roush blower set up....not a Roush crate engine - was I right?
