hey i have a v6 2005 Mustang and i remove the resonator and muffler and it is straight pipe from cats to chrome tips, does anyone know if this is illegal in NYC? will the po-leece stop u for the exhaust? im not talkin about flooring it next to them, but driving at low rpms will they ticket you? ive also heard that most mustangs, chargers, and gtos are pretty loud from factory, is it illegal? whats your experience with loud mustang exhaust and the po-leec? thanks for your knowledge on this matter

They will pull you over and give you a ticket for a car that sounds like poo

you will get a ticket for any exhaust that is louder then 87db, however it does not effect your inspection. Contrary to other peoples opion, the muffler is not an emmisions control device and is not subject to inspection, but you might want to put one on for performance and sound resons. Without a muffler the back pressure is non existant so you will gain very little or even lose performance.

saying po-leece makes you look and sound like an idiot, as does running straight exhaust on a V6. I'm pretty sure in NY any modification to your exhaust is illegal.
