Default How to remove lock cylinder from trim

Hello all,

I have a 65 mustang and I'm trying to remove the lock cylinder that came off the trunk. I have the lock removed from the car, but I'm trying to remove the cylinder from the housing (trim). I do not have keys for the old lock cylinder.

Here's a photo.

Thanks for any help

usulay there is a small button, I think thats it in the 2nd pic. you usualy rotate the key which will allow you to depress the button and slide the cyl out.

What do you do if you don't have the key to the old one?

you can try drilling the pin out. It's not always easy tho without the key
