ok first off
my Stang has a vibration and i traced it down to the drveshaft that and only one wheel would spin so i figured my LSD needed to be rebuilt. Well my Mech got it up on the hoist and looked on the cover and all it said was 273 nothing else No L No C Nothing. Also My Vin is a little off for being a GT the last 8 are 1XF116525 Now from what I have been told these do not match up to GT`s. I have Also heard from Ford Mech`s that Most GT`s that had LSD came with 3.73`s...now you can order WHATEVER you want but it`s few and far between. Anyone have ideas or even better a answer? I can see I am going to have to take the plate off and look and see if there is a carrier in there or not. That and PHYSICALLY Count the ring gear and do the math to find out just what gear ratio i have in there.

From what ive heard, you can just match the drive shaft rotation VS. the tire rotation. so you dont actually need to count the teeth.

and i thought the highest ratio was 3.55, but i dont know too much about it and what style are you even talking aobut

And why dont you check other locations where there would be a VIN, instead of justthe windshield one(just an example)

Right and right. I used the one on the doorjam as it is very hard to see the one tyhrough the windsheild sittin in the chair. I will get Someone to read the windsheild one for me after supper. Good Idea. Why i did not think of that i have NO idea[:@] I am going to have to take the Plate off to see if there is a carrier in there anyways so i can do either or both. Thanks for the suggestions and Help!

97 GT Fully loaded leather Mach sounds systeme....the works which is why this puzzels me. even on the rear end back plate it only says 273 NoTHING else.
