ok ok.. i know its not a mustang.. but please bare with me.. i dont have aneffin clue about carburated engines.. so where better to come and ask than a mustang site.. ok guys so.. its a 1.8L mazda engine.. it has new gas tank new pump, new line, new carb, new dist, new points, new rotor, new cap, new wires, new plugs, new coil new intake..

so the truck starts fine idles ok... but when i put the gas pedal the truck stumbles, back fires, and sounds like death..LOl... any ideas what it may be??

Timing or Vaccuum leak. What brand is the carb? Sounds like a possible accelerator pump and or power valve but not if its a brand new carb...

sweet. the carb isnt new. but it was off a running truck.. i changed the carb back to the stock one that cam off the 73... and most the issue was solved.. so ,, vacum leak sounds good.. question.. when i take the vacum hose off the vacum advance,( while the truck is running) and nothing changes.. to me.. that sounds like its an issue.... but what the f do i know?
