Do a 4.2L V6 for less money, same power.

How much of a difference in power would it be if I we're to put in a 4.2?

Same as the 5.0L V8 - cheaper and easier to drop in.

What would be needed for this?
Also what parts would I have to buy for mods and stuff? Would it still be the same as 3.8 parts or what?

5.0 has a huge amount of aftermarket support and the swap isnt that hard. just get an sn95 donor car.

True, but parts for the V6 are cheaper - and if done right (by right I mean being smart with money), you can make more power for less money with the V6 when looking at swapping in a 5.0L. Besides in an '04 - it's an easier swap to go 4.6 or 5.4L mod motor than back to the 302 pushrod.
