Default switching from corvette to stang

Hi, guys I have had 2 stangs then 2 vettes no ready for a stang again! My dad has a 96 v6 109 dealer miles still stored I know not good chipmunks ate gas tank wires. I want to know if the tranny and rearend are the same as v8 and if I can drop a 351 right in ? its a 5 speed I think would be nice and cheap and also a helluvalot of fun!

the rear end and tranny are different in the v8 models.

a 351 would require a k member out of a 94/95 sn95 so it wont "drop right in".

wait....you want to take a 13 year old car with only 109 miles on it and swap a 351 in it? if you want a sn95 with a 351 then go pick up a 94-5 GT for about $2500 and work from there. no way would i tear a car apart that is in that kind of condition.

I would imagine a car that old with that many miles on it would be worth something... It's hard to come across any mustang thats 5 years old with no miles on it, lol.

I would definately keep that car the way it is. Maybe even sell it and you can get a GT.

Welcome to the forums!

Yes only 109 real miles, but again it is a v6 it is not worth anything, and has no performance value.
Also no offense but it is easier and far cheaper to have, and mod mustangs than to hack up vettes. I used to have a couple stangs.
