Mismatch (brands) headers with x-pipes?
 

I have an '05 Mustang GT with an SLP catted x-pipe. I was thinking about getting headers... well... I AM going to get headers, but I was wondering if you can mismatch the header brands with different pipe brands? I can get bassani longtube headers for really cheap right now: $500! but would they fit on SLP x-pipe?

Well normally there arent too many issues with conflicting brands.... I have BBk headers with Summitracing H pipe, no problems at all.

However, you get long tubes, youre going to need a shorter X pipe to match the headers. The long tubes' collectors are much further back toward the back of the car than with the stock headers.
