Default looking to buy a mustang to build on

ok well i finally got some money saved up and im looking into getting a GT as a daily driver but also one that i can keep for a while and build up to be pretty nasty at the track. my budget for the car is about 10K and i want a GT 5 speed...my question though is which series would be the best platform for what im looking to do? sn95 with the 5.0? sn95 with the 4.6? or the modular 4.6? im farmiliar with the basic differences of the cars but is any one especially better for building power from and still staying somewhat cheap and reliable (i know i cant have both) so whats the general concensus? thanks in advance

Fox 5.0 would be your best choice

foxbody cars are the ones most commonly seen at the strip, because of the relatively light weight, and the wide open engine compartment, to fit your large engines... go fox 5.0

These guys are right. The 79-93 foxes are light,by far the cheapest car to put a blower on.Their easy to turn a wrench on too. You don't have half the electrical crap the new cars do.

Plus no ODBC plug in,one other thing to not have to deal with

Fox's make great daily drivers. If you can find a notch grab it! Lighter than a hatchback & look badass lowered with wider tires
