Just got my *** kicked by a tie rod end!
I had to back out of a job because I have NO IDEA how to get the pin out of my '86 mustang 3.8L driver side inner tie rod. (What the heck is a Moog Pin Remover?? Google even let me down on this.)
My tie rod is held in by a pin, not a rivet, and there is not enough visible to grasp with side cutters. Short of a cutting torch, I'm completely out of ideas.
Thanks in advance to the mechanical genius that can help me with this one!

Thanks, Vfast,
Because the new end has the rivet holes every 120 degrees, it didn't occur to me that the old end might be straight through. (180 degrees). I will revisit this tomorrow with an eye toward your suggestion, and, if all else fails, will drill it out.
Thanks!

a pin? like a cotter pin? 1 side is bent back after going through the hole? Just take an awl or a nail and hammer the tip into the loop of the pin and yank her out with needle nose pliers.
You think your getting your *** kicked, im getting my *** kicked on my truck from changing, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, power steering pump, steering box, pitman arm, tec.
If its the same type of pin on your tie rod ends as mine, above is what i did to get them out.

Its probably a roll pin and needs to be driven out with a punch, fun fun fun!!! Thats why for $74 I'm just going to buy a new rack and put new outer tie rods on it lol. I don't feel like I deserve as much fun in my life as you are having right now...
