Angry Water in spark plug well....car has been running hot. Are the heads cracked?

1998 ford mustang gt. Well my car ran hot about a week ago or something like that. I finally got it home and the fan light started coming on. So I noticed that the fan wasn't coming on when it should and when it did come on, it only stayed on for a second or two. First, I thought it was the relay....that didn't work. Then I started looking at the coolant temperature sensors on the intake and they look pretty worn out. However I noticed a little miss at the driver side tailpipe. So I began to check out my spark plug power at the coil packs and noticed that the first plug on the driver side wasn't hitting well at all. So I disconnected the packs and turned it over and there was water coming out of the spark plug well. I'm starting to think that the heads are cracked or something. Somebody please tell me something.

Might be a head gasket. You won't know for sure untill you pull the heads and check them.

There was a TSB a while back about leaking heater lines on the f-150/Fsuperduty with the modular v8 engines... i cant remember if it applies to mustangs. check all the lines above the engine that cary coolant. I cant picture if there is even any inmy head. I dont work on too many mustangs, just pickups usually.

thats tough, but just to let you know there is no coolant temp sensor on the intake. now was the water coming out of the coil pack or the spark plug?

Yea your right about the sensor on the intake I was just trying to hurry and get the thread starting before i left for work. But the water is inside of the 1st spark plug well on the driver side, not the coil pack.

Do a compression test and if you are capable....a leak down test. Most likely head gasket.

you can also check for bubbles in the radiator thats also a sign of a blown head gasket.
