Ticking noise at idle?

the filter has nothing to do with it. it is either a valve or the vescosity of the oil is too low did you put 5w 30 in it like it recamends?

No offense to you UTI guy... But it could be a crappy filter which is restrictive. Either way it was a quesiton I asked the OP not you so please lay off a bit, thank you!

i'm using mobil 1 synthetic 5w30 and a motorcraft filter

yeah so your fine on that then, if you can just pull the head that is making the noise and check all the valves.
